There could be a new leader at the top of the Barbados Football Association’s Premier League when action continues on Saturday night at the Wildey Technical Centre.
Heading into the double header which kicks off at 7 p.m., defending champions Weymouth Wales head the table on 28 points.
Paradise are one point behind on 27, with last season’s runners up Brittons Hill now third on 26, following their 2-0 victory over Bagatelle on Tuesday.
Kickstart Rush are close behind in fourth position on 24 points and Ellerton fifth on 23, with a winner unlikely to be crowned until the final night of the season,
In Saturday’s action, Paradise can retake the lead in the opening game with victory over Bagatelle. The Dover-based unit has been remarkably consistent under coach Mario Harte this season and will be favoured to take full points from last season’s Division One runners-up Bagatelle, who are currently in sixth position on 14 points.
The evening’s second game at 9 p.m. will feature a mammoth clash as Wales oppose Brittons Hill.
Victory for Wales would see them remaining as the league’s top team heading into the final few rounds of matches, while a win for Brittons Hill would propel them to the top of the table if Paradise loses in the opening game.
Should Paradise defeat Bagatelle, victory over Wales would see Brittons Hill moving into second position.
