WE’RE hardly into September and already fans on BOTH sides of Glasgow aren’t happy.
Last week, it was Rangers boss Russell Martin who was facing calls for his removal – with banners outside Ibrox.
This week there’s been barely disguised fury against Celtic’s board with fans fuming about a transfer deadline day which saw them fail to land key striker targets Kasper Dolberg and David Datro Fofana.
Instead, the Hoops finally got their new striker to replace Adam Idah late last night when they swooped for free agent Nigerian frontman Kelechi Iheanacho.
But whether it is enough to salve the sense of fury against the board remains to be seen, with ultras group the Green Brigade sharing an image with the faces of CEO Michael Nicholson, Dermot Desmond and chairman Peter Lawwell all crossed out.
And last night images were shared online of a number of banners at Celtic Park, with slogans including ‘Prices Up, Profits Up, Times Up’, ‘Fans Demand Change’, ‘FC not PLC’ and shockingly ‘Shoot the Board’.

it’s unclear exactly when the images were taken but there was no sign when SunSport checked out the scene this morning.
Meanwhile, Celtic supremo Dermot Desmond has broken cover amid the furore – by appearing at The K Club in the Pro- Am event ahead of the 2025 Amgen Irish Open which starts tomorrow.
Former Hoops star Chris Sutton is one major pundit who has been scathing about his old club’s transfer dealings.
He wrote on Twitter yesterday: “The most remarkable window of all time.
“Celtic have come out of it weaker!
“At least Celtic are doing everything they can for there to be a title race this season…
“Going into a season with great expectation and excitement after a few weeks the feeling now is utter deflation.”
