ALLY McCOIST regularly mixes it with some of the biggest names in football.
But the Rangers legend wasn’t at all prepared for a chance encounter with a true footballing great!
McCoist, 62, has been as busy as ever with his media commitments.
This week, his work has taken him to Paris where he was commentating on last night’s Champions League semi-final between PSG and Arsenal.
The French giants won 2-1 on the night, 3-1 on aggregate, to progress to the final where they’ll take on Inter Milan.
With the game over in Paris, it meant time for McCoist to begin his journey back home.
He headed for Charles de Gaulle Airport and got a lot more than he bargained for.
Taking to Instagram, McCoist revealed that he’d randomly bumped into none other than Sir Alex Ferguson at the airport!
The former striker shared a picture of the two of them smiling together.
Iconic ex-Man Utd manager Sir Alex, 83, was also in the French capital to take in last night’s huge European clash at Parc des Princes.
But McCoist appeared to be slightly embarrassed about the meeting and explained why on his post.
He said: The people you meet at CDG when you’ve not shaved or have a jacket on!!”
It seems like Sir Alex wasn’t too impressed either!
A comment on the post asked: “Did he give you a bollocking over your appearance?”
McCoist responded: “Yes.”
Nonetheless, fans were loving the snap of the two footie greats together.
One said: “Super photo, legends both.”
Another commented: “Fergie looking well there.”
