AMAD DIALLO’S stunning volley salvaged a 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest as Manchester United’s winning streak came to an end.
Casemiro’s third goal of the season – from a controversially awarded corner – was quickly cancelled out by Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolo Savona instantly after half-time.
The Brazil midfielder’s easy header in the 34th minute came after Darren England awarded a corner when Savona had seemingly stopped the ball from creeping over the line.
Forest were left incensed after the opener as they insisted the set-piece shouldn’t have been awarded, with replays suggesting the ball did not completely cross the line as Nicolo Savona tried to keep it in play.
Forest missed several potshots to expend their lead in the second-half, before Amad unleashed a first-time worldie past Matz Sels with nine minutes of normal time remaining.
Before today, Sean Dyche’s first Prem home game, Forest had sacked more managers than they had picked up points since their last win against Brentford, as United failed to win four on the bounce.

Senne Lammens – 6
Couldn’t have really stopped the goals. His first save was straight at him from distance, but Lammens got down low to stop Igor Jesus on several occasions in the first-half.
Diogo Dalot – 3
Got an earful from Amorim for repeatedly being caught out of position and failing to read a one-two with Fernandes in a vital area, which saw Savona breakthrough on goal.
Was weak and flapped inside the box before Savona beat him and Yoro inside the six-yard box to take the lead for the home side. Hooked for Patrick Dorgu with 20 minutes left.
Matthijs De Ligt – 7
The Dutchman’s big tackle stopped Forest defender Savona from unleashing a more powerful shot at Lammens after Dalot’s mess up.
He kept the backline solid in the first-half but was let down by his team-mates for Forest’s two quickfire goals. Another big block stopped Jesus from striking at goal. His back post header to Amad almost secured all three points.
Leny Yoro – 6
The 19-year-old looked more composed than Dalot, dealing with Igor Jesus with relative ease in the first-half.
Part of the dodgy trio that failed to beat Savona to the ball for the second, but a vital tackle inside the box saved United from conceding a third.
Luke Shaw – 7
A crucial early block from Jesus’ shot forced a corner in the 6th minute. He followed it up with another huge intervention in Forest’s half to send the ball through to Sesko.
Another huge intervention stopped a certain Forest counter.
Amad Diallo – 7
Amad’s stunning volley from outside the box equalised in the 80th minute.
Before that it was a tale of two halves for Amad, who seemed to have backed up Amorim’s faith in his defensive capabilities, with strong tackles and a big headed clearance when Forest were piling it on.
But it somewhat fell apart in the second half when he was outjumped by Gibbs-White for Forest’s equaliser and caught out on the ball by Neco Williams for a chance.
The winger was denied the winner when Murillo cleared another volley off the line in added time. Murillo had cleared it off the line in April too.
Casemiro – 7
Casemiro just can’t stop scoring. The 33-year-old’s free header broke the deadlock inside 34 minutes from a controversially awarded corner.
It was his third Premier League goal of the season after scoring the second against Brighton last Saturday. Avoided an obvious booking for clipping Elliot Anderson when United were under the cosh.
Bruno Fernandes – 6
Anderson was the more composed midfield general in the early exchanges, with Fernandes frustrated by his own sloppy passing into his frontline.
Fernandes’ corner was dispatched by Casemiro and his brilliant effort smacked off the post from 20 yards shortly after United went behind.
Bryan Mbeumo – 7
The ball is like Velcro on Mbeumo’s feet. United’s No10 was a cut above the rest with his touches and he backed it up with some slick passes and floating crosses into Sesko.
Tried to be a leading example when United were behind, hunting to salvage something.
Matheus Cunha – 6
Cunha worked well with Fernandes and fellow new signings Sesko and Mbeumo in the first-half. Seemed to be at the centre of the battles, feigning a facial injury when Ryan Yates tugged his shoulder.
United couldn’t get the Brazilian on the ball as much in the second-half, constantly trying to drive the team forward.
Benjamin Sesko – 5
Botched an early shot when he should have run over the ball with Fernandes calling behind, but Sesko is better at holding the ball up than Rasmus Hojlund was in a United shirt.
Forest’s centre-back pairing had the better of the 22-year-old, who whipped another effort wide seconds after being bullied off the ball for a Forest chance inside 15 minutes.
But the 6’ 5’’ giant was out-jumped by Savona at the back post, leading up to the controversial opener. Did win the ball on edge of the box for a brilliant counter.

Eyebrows were raised when Amorim was sending on a full-back who hasn’t played since the Chelsea win in September just when United needed a goal.
He was caught napping by Callum Hudson-Odi, who pounced to win a corner, again wrongfully awarded by England as Jesus was offside.
