RANGERS chairman Andrew Cavenagh has met with the club’s fans to discuss a range of topics.
The US supremo opened up on the January transfer window and also revealed plans for ex-players to become involved in the club.
In the latest roundtable meeting with various Rangers fan groups, Cavenagh, interim chief executive Fraser Thornton and other figures fielded questions and delivered an update on various areas of club business.
As you’d expect, the current January transfer window was one top of conversation.
The Light Blues have yet to sign any new players but that looks set to change imminently.
SunSport revealed earlier today how a bumper £7million double deal to land two top targets, Tuur Rommens and Tochi Chukwuani, was close to completion.

Left-back Rommens is expected to seal a £3.5million move from Westerlo while Chukwuani will complete a £4m switch from Sturm Graz.
That is likely not to be the end of incomings at Ibrox as Danny Rohl looks to bolster his squad with his Gers side now well and truly in the title mix.
The Rangers Fan Advisory Board have released notes on their meeting with Cavenagh and the group have revealed what was said.
The group say that Cavenagh said Rangers “were very active in the market” although conceded that January was a “difficult” window.
Cavenagh is also said to have expanded on what changes in approach would be seen in comparison to the last summer transfer window.
Rangers signed several players from England during the summer when sacked sporting director Kevin Thelwell was still in place.
Now, it appears that experience of Scottish football is going to be something the Gers will be actively looking for.
Addressing a change in approach, the FAB notes say Cavenagh noted: “Weight of the shirt and the challenges and playing for this football club.
“Physical and intensity of the Scottish League. More people involved in the process of what the squad should look like.
“Scottish players will be looked at. View that a certain per-cent of players should come with league or Scottish experience.”
The notes from the meeting also revealed discussions on how former Rangers players could be used to “help shape the DNA of the club” going forward.
Cavenagh mentioned having conversations and dinners with former Rangers players with a view to having a role in the club.
Those roles are said to come in a variety of guises, including coaching, scouting but also to act as mentors to the current group of players and youngsters.
This was the first of these meetings to be held following Cavenagh’s decision to axe both sporting director Thelwell and chief executive Patrick Stewart in November.
The businessman is now leading the search for a new CEO with St Mirren vice-chairman Jim Gillespie emerging as a leading candidate.
The notes from the meeting with Cavenagh say that the Gers chief didn’t want to be drawn on any specific names, but once again spoke of someone who would understand the club and the DNA of it.
