The Cool & Smooth ABBA Business Basketball League 2025 showcased the island’s top talent during its highly anticipated All Star Night, with Antigua Power Company emerging as the evening’s biggest winners on Saturday.
Amare Browne of Antigua Power Company was the standout performer of the night, capturing the three-point shootout title after draining 11 shots from beyond the arc. His hot shooting carried over into the team 3v3 championship, where he teamed up with Aiden Crawford and Tyrus Graham to defeat Corner Stone Builders & Maintenance 12-10 in a thrilling final.
The individual speed dribble competition produced a rare tie, with Javonte Daley of H Wright Promotions and Jaheem James of Richie’s Shooterz both recording identical times of 9 seconds. In the team speed dribble event, ACT demonstrated superior ball-handling skills to claim top honors.
J&J Company Landscaping Services’ Daysher Samuel proved to be the most well-rounded player on display, winning the skills challenge competition. Meanwhile, the duo of Orion Seraphine and Webster Baptista represented Anjo Wholesale brilliantly in the two-man shootout, combining to make an impressive 28 baskets to take home the title.
Action will continue on Monday with two matches scheduled as Corner Stone Builders & Maintenance will take on SLBMC at 7pm, followed by Richie’s Shooterz facing Sledge’O Ballers at 8pm. Admission is $10.
