Antigua and Barbuda will open the batting for a series of trophy tours ahead of the 2025 edition of the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) when, on Friday, the sought-after trophy will make several stops across the island, offering fans the opportunity to take photos while benefiting from special offers on tickets and limited giveaways.
Chief Marketing Officer with the CPL Christine Charles gave a brief outline of what will happen on Friday.
“We’re starting off at 1 pm and we’re going to be at Woods Mall. For each of the stops we’re going to be there for approximately one hour. So from Woods Mall, we’re going over to the VC Bird Bust and then we are going to head over to Townhouse Plaza. We then go to All Saints, McPond and then we end at the Landing Strip. We are going to have giveaways, deejays, entertainment as well as a super special ticket offer,” she said.
Charles revealed also that fans attending the tour stand to benefit from special ticket promotions.
“On Friday, we have a buy-one, get-one-free special on select stadium tickets where, if you purchase it on the ground at any of the trophy tour locations then you will receive an additional ticket absolutely free. The tickets range from EC$20 to $65 and for the grounds tickets as well as the North Stand tickets, you can purchase it on Friday and get the second one absolutely free,” she said.
In addition to ticket offers, fans could get ahead of the game by winning free merchandise during the tour but must pre-register on the CPL website at www.cplt20.com and must be present during the tour.
“So, on the CPL website, if it is that you pre-register for the trophy tour, you just fill out your information and you’re automatically entered for a chance to win merchandise exclusive at the trophy tour. Fans can also expect to get up close and personal with the trophy; take photos as well as meet some of the legends on the ground. I don’t want to name who because it is going to be a surprise,” Charles said.
Following the Antigua leg, the CPL trophy tour moves to Saint Lucia, Barbados, and St Kitts & Nevis. Each stop will build anticipation ahead of the CPL season, which officially gets underway on 14 August.
