Axelina Johansson delivered one of the greatest shot-put series in collegiate history on Friday at the Husker Holiday Open, capped by a collegiate record of 19.72m (64-8½) in Round 4.

Johansson opened with 19.48m (63-11), matched Jorinde van Klinken’s former record at 19.57m (64-2½) in Round 2, and then surpassed it with 19.66m (64-6) before unleashing her record breaker.
In all, Johansson produced five marks that now rank among the all-time collegiate top eight: No. 1, No. 2, t-No. 3, No. 6, and No. 7.
