There were wins for Sledge’O Ballers and Corner Stone Builders & Maintenance on Wednesday night as action continued in the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) Cool & Smooth sponsored Business Basketball League at the JSC basketball complex.
In the opening game of a double-header, Sledge’O Ballers had an easy day at the office with a 69-39 triumph over the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center (SLBMC).
Bernard Andrew led the scoring for the victors with a game-high of 18 points while grabbing eight rebounds. He had help from Morlon Davis with 15 points and 12 rebounds while Leroy Percival sank 10 points and grabbed five rebounds. Nigel Joseph was the only score of note for the opponents with 11 points.
In the night’s feature contest, Corner Stone Builders & Maintenance (CSBM) defeated ACT 52-37 in another one-sided affair. Takeem Martin was the top performer for the victors with 18 points and 18 rebounds. David Mensah was the top scorer for ACT with 10 points.
