The Barbados team eased to a second consecutive victory as the Cricket West
Indies’ Women’s T20 Blaze continued at the Arnos Vale Playing Field on St. Vincent.
Chasing 111 for victory against Jamaica today, they secured the win in the 17th over while losing four wickets, with Aaliyah Alleyne unbeaten on 19 and Shakera Selman not out on four.
Opener Eboni Brathwaite got the innings off to a rapid start, with a stroke filled 36 from 18 balls, with her innings featuring three fours and three sixes. Fellow opener Trishan Holder added 23, and Asabi Callender chipped in with 18.
Earlier after being sent into bat, Jamaica got up to 110 for 6 off their allotted 20 overs.
Abigail Bryce top scored with 33, while captain Rashada Williams added 31, but only former West Indies captain Stephanie Taylor who made 11 and Neisha-Ann-Waisome who ended on 13 not out, were the only other players to get into double figures.
For Barbados, Kelia Elliott grabbed 3 for 16 and Theanny Herbert Mayers 2 for 17
On Tuesday Barbados defeated Trinidad and Tobago by 3 wickets and will next be in action against Windward Islands on Saturday.
