Sergio Barnwell and Nikesha Gage emerged overall winners in the men’s and women’s run category of OSA Wellness Fitness Challenge while Kenzie Barton and Lynn Thomas were crowned men’s and women’s champions in the walk competition held on Monday.
Barnwell was followed over the finish line by Adrian Perez in second while Jason Askie finished third. Following Gage, who successfully defended her women’s title for a fourth straight year was Kevinia Francis (second) while Tamesha Constant was third.


Edgar Peters was a close second in the men’s walk competition with Cannon Browne in third. Shanika Sylvester was second in the women’s equivalent with Jahnique France grabbing the third place medal.
The Osa organisation also awarded former national athlete, Dale Jones, with the ‘Resilience Champ’ accolade. The award is given to athletes who would have overcome trying circumstances. Jones is a former athlete who suffered a stroke in 2017 but has made remarkable strides in his recovery. He completed 3.5 miles on Monday.
