By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Tut Bay strengthened their position at the top of the Belize District Football Association (BDFA) 1st Division Closing Championship standings with an emphatic 5-1 victory over Reggae Boyz at the Marion Jones Sports Complex on Sunday, May 11, 2025.
Tut Bay set the tone early, opening the scoring in the 14th minute through Tom Moguel. Calvin Thurton doubled the lead in the 36th minute, before his brother, Devin Thurton, converted a penalty in the 45th minute, sending the leaders into halftime with a commanding 3-0 advantage.
Thurton struck again in the 56th minute, extending Tut Bay’s lead to four. Reggae Boyz found some consolation in the 74th minute, as Dion Cacho converted a penalty, but Tut Bay had the last say, with Tyrone Guy rounding off the scoring in the 90th minute.
With the win, Tut Bay moved up to 13 points, strengthening their position at the top of the table.
