By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The countdown is on for one of Belize’s most highly anticipated equestrian events of the year—the NATS Belize Rodeo & Livestock Show 2025. Set to take place from May 31 to June 1 at the National Agriculture & Trade Show in Belmopan, this year’s rodeo promises adrenaline-pumping action, heart-racing competitions, and a showcase of Belize’s rich cowboy culture.

The festivities kick off on Saturday, May 31, with the Mounted Horse Parade (Cabalgata), a grand equestrian show. The horse parade starts at the Ministry of Natural Resources Compound at 8:30 a.m., making its way to the showgrounds.
Once the rodeo gates open at 11:30 a.m., the arena will erupt with thrilling competitions including calf and bull riding, barrel racing, arena racing, breakaway roping, pole bending, team roping, and tie down roping. Spectators can expect a mix of skill, speed, and superb excitement as cowboys and cowgirls compete for top honours.
Beyond the competitions, the event is designed as a family-friendly spectacle, offering entertainment for all ages. With a lineup of activities stretching throughout the weekend.
Admission prices for Saturday are $10 for adults and $5 for kids, while Sunday’s entrance fees are $20 for adults and $10 for kids, ensuring accessibility for families who wish to enjoy the rodeo spirit.
With the culture, the thrill, and the unmatched cowboy energy, Belizeans and visitors alike won’t want to miss the rodeo and all its activities at NATS 2025.
