By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize’s U15 Boys National Team (U15 BBNT) bounced back in dramatic fashion on Tuesday, securing a 2–1 comeback victory over Curaçao in their second Group D match at the 2025 Concacaf Boys’ Under-15 League B Championship. The win brings Belize level with Jamaica and Curaçao on three points, reigniting hopes of advancing to the semifinals.
🇨🇼 Curaçao Strike First
Curaçao’s J. Rojer broke the deadlock in the 28th minute, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to give his side a 1–0 lead at Stadion CD Guillermo Trinidad.
🇧🇿 Belize Respond with Grit and Goals
Belize regrouped after the break and found their equaliser in the 63rd minute through Dion Meighan, who calmly slotted home to level the match. Just five minutes later, Belize’s attacking pressure paid off when a handball in the box led to a penalty. Clive Medwood Jr stepped up and buried the spot kick into the upper left corner in the 68th minute, completing the comeback.
🧤 Harris Holds the Line
Belize’s goalkeeper Stephon Harris delivered a composed performance with several crucial saves that kept his team in the match. His efforts helped weather Curaçao’s pressure and gave Belize the platform to mount their second-half comeback.
