Board of Education (BoE) continued their unbeaten run in the Cool & Smooth sponsored Business Basketball League on Tuesday night with a commanding 87-48 triumph over Antigua Computer Technology (ATC) at the JSC basketball complex.
BoE were led by national player Adonis Humphreys who hit 18 points and grabbed 18 rebounds in a double-double performance. He also had three steals and two blocks. There was help from Danny Perez with 16 points, six steals and six assists while Daniel Perez chipped in with 13 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals.
In a losing effort, Henry Dorsette led the scoring for ACT with 19 points and eight rebounds while Delroy Foster and Hansel Piper added 11 and 10 points respectively to the effort.
Also on Tuesday night, former champions Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board (ABTA) rallied to a 72-45 win over Sir Lester Bird Medical Center when they met in the second of three scheduled encounters.
National player Lindsay McDonald was in dominant form for Transport Board, picking up a game-high of 24 points with Elijah Charles contributing with 17 points. Nigel Joseph was the top scorer for the opponents with 10 points.
In the feature game, Sledge’O Ballers edged Fearless Security Services 60-54.
Kareem Edwards led the charge with 18 points and eight rebounds while Leroy Percival had 12 points and eight rebounds. Morlon Davis chipped in with 11 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Shaquille Kelly had a double-double in a losing effort, hitting 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds while Beniah Mark sank 10 points and pulled six rebounds.
