Board of Education (BoE) recorded a slim 49-45 triumph over Antigua Power Company (APC) to keep their unbeaten run alive and set up a championship clash against defending champions Sandals in their final league game on October 29 in the Cool & Smooth sponsored Business Basketball League.
Contesting the final game of a triple-header at the JSC basketball complex on Monday night, BoE were led by Daniel Perez with 15 points, 11 rebounds and four steals while Xavier Meade contributed with 12 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks.
In a losing effort, Akeem Davis sank 13 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists. Tonight’s clash between the two undefeated teams will start at 7:45 p.m. and follows the opening game between Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board (ABTB) and ACT.
Meanwhile, Sledge’O Ballers were 91-62 winners over J&J Company Landscaping Services when they met in Monday’s opening clash.
Dajon George sank a game-high of 30 points for the winners. Kareem Edwards contributed with 20 points and 10 rebounds while Morlon Davis hit 11 points, pulled 18 rebounds and had six assists. Tyndale Telemaque led the scoring for J&J with 19 points with Daysher Samuel adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. Molefi Joseph contributed with 17 points.
In the other contest, Fearless Security Services beat ACT 57-41.
