By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Caesar Ridge FC and Tut Bay FC played to a dramatic 2-2 draw in the Belize District Football Association (BDFA) First Division 2024-2025 Closing Championship on Labour Day at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City.
In the marquee game at 6:00 pm, Caesar Ridge FC and Tut Bay FC played to a dramatic 2-2 draw. Tut Bay struck early, with Calvin Thurton finding the net in the 3rd minute, setting the tone for a fierce contest. Caesar Ridge responded in the 27th minute, as Francis Arana leveled the score. The battle continued into the second half, with Kenyon Pratt putting Caesar Ridge ahead in the 58th minute, only for Dylan Belisle to equalize for Tut Bay in the 82nd minute, ensuring the points were shared.
In the other matches, Survivors FC edged Hattieville United Youth Sporting Club 2-1, while Kelly Street Bombers secured a 4-2 victory over Old Road Defenders.
Labour Day football at Marion Jones Sports Complex proved to be a thrilling day of football, setting the stage for more exciting clashes in the BDFA First Division Championship this coming weekend.
