CARL FROCH says Chris Eubank Jr bringing in a new coaching team is nothing more than a power play over Conor Benn.
Eubank – who beat Benn in their April grudge match – has brought esteemed American trainer Brian “BoMac” McIntyre back into his camp.
BoMac, the long-time trainer to pound-for-pound great Terence Crawford, guided Eubank to rematch victory over Liam Smith in 2023.
The two then parted afterwards, with Eubank hiring Jonathan Banks for his victories over Kamil Szeremeta and Benn.
But now Eubank – ahead of his rematch with Benn on Saturday live on DAZN PPV – has reunited with BoMac for his second generation grudge rematch.
Froch was probed on the move in SunSport’s No Glove Lost episode but scoffed: “I think it’s a power play.

Eubank Sr already dreads damage his son’s suffered vs Benn ahead of rematch
“It’s really good on the optics, so Conor Benn looks at that and Benn’s team looks at that and goes, ‘Oh, he’s got BoMac back, like that performance against Liam Smith in the rematch.’
“So that will play a part. He’s just had the amazing performance with Terence Crawford against Canelo. The world was watching, and it was a shut-out performance.
“He’s got him in the corner so it looks good, but how much of a difference does that make? Not a great deal of difference.
“He has worked with him in the past, which is good news for Chris because he’s back with him, I don’t think that Conor’s gonna be too worried about that.

“I think he’s concentrating more on himself, which he should be what he needs to do.”
One man with expert insight on Eubank’s camp is super-welterweight Lee Cutler – a long-time sparring partner.
He was part of the camp seven months ago before Eubank’s close decision win over Benn – revealing preparations are more serious this time around.
Cutler, 29, revealed: “I’ve been sparring him since I was about 18 years old and this camp. He’s on form.
“I don’t know if it’s out there, but he’s doing four minute rounds at the minute, four minute rounds, 30 second break.
“On a couple of occasions, I’ve done all the rounds with him, a few times he’s had other sparring partners that are jumping in, which you can’t take too much from those spars because obviously I’m fresh and he’s not.
“But he’s looking fantastic. One of his best camps. I sparred him in his last spar leading into the Liam Smith rematch.
