The Cayman senior women’s national football team is set to embark on a crucial training tour in the Dominican Republic from 10-20 July.
This tour, featuring four friendly matches, is a key component of the team’s intensive training regimen leading up to the CONCACAF women’s qualifiers.
These qualifiers are scheduled across October and November 2025, and February and April 2026, and will determine which teams from the region advance to the 2026 CONCACAF W Championship in November 2026.

During their time in the Dominican Republic, the Cayman Islands women will test their skills against both national and club-level opponents.
“This tour is a critical part of our preparation for the CONCACAF [Women] Qualifiers,” said Martha Godet, CIFA women’s technical director in a recent press release.

“It gives our players international exposure and helps us build a cohesive, competitive squad. We’re taking steps now to be ready for the demands of this important competition cycle.”
Beyond the scheduled matches, the tour’s itinerary also includes daily training sessions, dedicated recovery periods and strategic development initiatives, all designed to enhance the team’s performance ahead of the demanding qualifier rounds.
The schedule for the Cayman matches are:
- Sunday, 13 July: Cayman Islands vs. Dominican Republic National Team
- Tuesday, 15 July: Cayman Islands vs. Dominican Republic National Team
- Thursday, 17 July: Cayman Islands vs. Club Real Deportivo
- Saturday, 19 July: Cayman Islands vs. Club Real Deportivo
