CELTIC and Rangers are set to battle it out on deadline day for Premier League propect, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
The Ibrox side tried to snap up the Crystal Palace winger earlier in the window only for talks to cool after the player picked up a minor injury.
Now it looks like Russell Martin will have to also fend off interest from Celtic as both teams look to add to their attacking options on the last day of the window.
And Sky Sports believe that Leicester City and Lyon have also entered the race to take the highly-rated 22 year-old on loan from the Eagles.
Rangers have already added wingers Djeidi Gassama and Oliver Antman to their squad in this window.
But Martin admitted last month he was also keen on getting a deal done for Rak-Sakyi.
He said at the time: “He is a player I liked at Southampton. We tried to take him there and it didn’t quite happen.
“He is a player I like and I think the recruitment staff like him too.
“How far that has gone I’m not too sure.
“He is a really good player. We look at all sorts of different profiles that we think can help the team.
“It doesn’t have to be just one sort of profile.
“Players are very different.
“We just need the ones with the right mentality who are desperate to come here and we will see where we are in four weeks’ time.”
Celtic have added Michel-Ange Balikwisha in the wide areas, with the former Royal Antwerp man making his debut in the goalless derby at Ibrox.
But they are expected to lose Hyun-jun Yang tomorrow to Birmingham City while Jota won’t play again until the new year due to injury.
The Hoops have been linked with moves for Hammarby’s wide man Sebastian Tounekti who said tonight he expects the Scottish champions to “go all the way” until the 11pm deadline to get a deal done.
But Rak-Sakyi could now also come into the equation as Celtic look to strengthen their attacking options on the flanks.
Both clubs could be busy on deadline day.
