CELTIC fans have mobilised to discuss what action to take against the club’s under-fire board.
Supporters are furious with the club’s hierarchy over the perceived lack of transfer activity over the summer and failure to back boss Brendan Rodgers in the transfer market.
Rodgers has mentioned on various occasions that he was not simply the manager to maintain standards at the club.
Chants of “sack the board” could be heard around Celtic Park after the club’s disappointing 0-0 draw with Kairat Almaty in the Champions League.
Matters were only made worse when they crashed out of Europe‘s elite competition to the Kazakh outfit the following week.
Fan fury was heightened after the club failed to bring in a replacement striker during the window with only winger Sebastian Tounekti arriving on transfer deadline day.

It left Celtic trying to scramble around to bring in a forward, which they eventually did after the window shut, recruiting free agent Kelechi Iheanacho who was released from Sevilla.
Fuel was poured on the fire when Celtic released a 1000 word statement, defending the club’s actions in the window and blaming “inaccurate reporting”.
That was the breaking point for many fans, with hundreds supporters groups, fan media sites and organisations signing an open letter demanding answers from the board.
It culminated in a meeting on Wednesday night organised by the Green Brigade, with various supporter groups coming together to try to forge a clear path forward and discuss what action to take.
Not every fan agreed on what course of action to take and the severity of it, but there was consensus that something needed to happen.
The results of a fan survey with almost 40,000 thousands responses were also revealed, with the vast majority calling for the removal of the current board and potential boycotts of Celtic’s Europa League games.
One of the options being put forward from the meeting is to make their anger visible on Sunday in the Scottish Premiership game against Kilmarnock.
Fans would do this by entering Rugby Park ten minutes late with the Green Brigade to set banners across the empty seats before hand.
There were also discussions about looking to have a fan advisory board in place to repair the breakdown in relationship between supporters and club chiefs.
Celtic return from the international break with the club six points clear of rivals Rangers.
