JUST as Ajax were putting the finishing touches to the signing of Celtic target Kasper Dolberg.
The Hoops were reportedly scrambling about desperately trying to find another forward ahead of tonight’s deadline to register their Europa League squad.
After failing to bring in a striker before the transfer window shut on Monday, Celtic have had to resort to looking at the free agent market.
It’s another night of frustrated fans on tenterhooks waiting to see if a deal can get done before another deadline.
SunSport told you Kelechi Iheanacho was on the Hoops’ radar on deadline day before Sevilla released the Nigeria international.
They’ve also been linked with former Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford who is looking for a new club.
Now another name to add the mix is another Nigeria forward Emmanuel Dennis.
The 27-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements at Nottingham Forest and his contract was mutually terminated a few days ago.
According to journalist Stephen McGowan he is now also an option for Celtic.
