CELTIC new boy Kelechi Iheanacho has been speaking for the first time since his deadline-busting move to the Hoops.
The former Manchester City and Leicester frontman was reunited with old gaffer Brendan Rodgers shortly before the 11pm Europa League deadline on Tuesday night, having been released by Sevilla a day earlier.
It’s been a move – and a transfer window in general – which not all Parkhead supporters have been appreciative about, but Iheanacho insists he’s excited to be a Celtic player and can’t wait to work with old gaffer Brendan Rodgers again.
Iheanacho claimed the League Cup with Man City and the FA Cup and Championship title with Leicester – and clearly wants to get his hands on some more silverware.
An unused sub as Rodgers’ Celtic side drew 3-3 with a star-studded City side back in 2016, Iheanacho is also looking forward to teaming up with former Leicester City team-mate Kasper Schmeichel again.
He told Celtic TV: “I’m really happy to be working with Brendan again.
