ADAM IDAH’S Swansea City switch is hanging in the balance.
And it remains to be seen whether the Celtic striker will be involved in Sunday’s Old Firm derby.
Idah’s £6million-plus move to Wales has been paused by Brendan Rodgers until the Hoops get a replacement in first.
Celtic made Anderlecht’s Kasper Dolberg their top target and have been in talks over an £8.5million deal.
But the Belgians have a striking crisis and also want to get a new hitman lined up before selling the Dane.
That has left Idah in limbo – despite a fee and personal terms being agreed with Swansea.
Quizzed on the deal after the Swans beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 on Saturday, boss Alan Sheehan said: “The latest is that he is not our player.
“He is currently a Glasgow Celtic player so right now I can only talk about Swansea players.”
Pressed on whether it all hinges on Celtic’s Dolberg chase, Sheehan added: “If you ask Celtic, potentially you’d get the answer to that question.
“I can’t speak on behalf of Celtic.”
Borussia Monchengladbach are also keen on Dolberg but Belgian reports claim the Hoops are showing the most serious interest.
Anderlecht are under pressure to bring cash in after exiting Europe but rejected Celtic’s opening offer.
The Belgians have injury problems in attack and want reinforcements before entertaining a deal.
They have been linked with Genoa’s Vitinha and his arrival could help pave the way for Dolberg to depart.
But Rodgers has made it clear that he won’t allow Idah to leave until everything falls into place.
With such uncertainty over the Irishman’s future, the Celtic boss could face a decision on whether to involve him at Ibrox.
Rodgers does have other No9 options – with Daizen Maeda, Shin Yamada and Johnny Kenny all available for the derby.
Celtic are also chasing a winger before Monday’s deadline – but Hammarby are holding firm over Sebastian Tounekti.
The Tunisian has been the subject of two bids by the Hoops over the last few days.
But Hammarby have rejected all offers, with the Swedes’ sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg stating he is not for sale.
He said: “I have informed Celtic and Seb that he will play for Hammarby this autumn.
“I don’t know if they will bid again.
“I have received a few calls from them. I have been quite clear to them that our ambition is to keep Seb.”

Celtic have already signed Antwerp winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Boca Juniors left-back Marcelo Saracchi this week.
Both could feature against Rangers at Ibrox as the Hoops look to move nine points clear at the top.
