CELTIC defender Stephen Welsh is reportedly in talks with Motherwell over a deadline day move.
The 25-year-old has found it difficult to get regular game-time at the Hoops and is looking for more first-team football.
The centre-back spent the latter half on loan at Belgian side Mechelen last season, making 15 league appearances.
Welsh played a part in pre-season friendlies but hasn’t featured for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season.
The Daily Record is reporting that Motherwell are enquiring about a possible loan deal for Welsh, with “talks progressing”.
Scottish clubs have until 11pm on Monday to get transfers done before the window shuts.
