CELTIC have reportedly had a bid accepted for Tunisia winger Sebastian Tounekti.
The Hoops are facing a race against time to get the deal done ahead of the transfer window shutting at 11pm.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have had two previous bids rejected by Hammarby for the winger.
But according to Swedish outlet Expressen the third offer of £5.5million, including bonuses, has been accepted.
They now need to get the paperwork finalised on the deal.
It’s believed the Tunisian has agreed a four-year contract with the Hoops.
Tounekti predominantly plays as a left winger but can operate on the opposite flank.
He’s scored two goals in 25 appearances this season for Hammarby.
He only joined them in February of this year from Norwegian outfit Haugesund.
The 24-year-old, who was born in Norway but plays for Tunisia, said in an interview earlier this week it had been a whirlwind few months.
And was flattered by the interest shown by the Hoops.
He told Fotbollskanalen: “It’s a top club in Europe. It’s great that there’s that kind of interest and it shows that you’ve done something good.
“I’ve only been here for a few months, so if you look at it that way, it’s almost unrealistic that you would move abroad already now.
“But at the same time, that’s how it is in football, things can happen quickly.”
And it seems the pace of life isn’t about to change as he heads to Glasgow to complete a move to Celtic.
Meanwhile, Celtic’s other big hope of signing Anderlecht striker Kasper Dolberg appears to have fallen through with the Denmark striker opting to choose Ajax.
And it’s also understood that Yang’s move to Birmingham has collapsed as the English Championship side won’t have enough to time to complete the deal before the 7pm deadline.
