Former LSU standout Michaela Rose is a fitting cover athlete for this issue, as the featured article is “Progress for Success: Training For 800-Specific Running” by Jeff Kavalunas. Rose clocked a staggering five sub-two minute marks in the event during her senior year, outdoors including a PR of 1:58.12 at the LSU Invitational.
