KAZAKH wonderkid Dastan Satpayev smashed in a nerveless 90th minute penalty to leave Celtic staring at a gruelling visit to take on Kairat Almaty in the Champions League playoff round.
The 16-year-old, who is regarded as potentially the biggest talent EVER to come out of the country, will join Chelsea next summer.
And he added to his legend by finishing in style from 12 yards after referee Serdar Gözübüyük penalised Danylo Ignatenko for a shirt tug in a crowded box.
The Hoops will take on the winners of this tie in the play-off round later this month – and while they will fancy their chances against either, travel to Almaty is a major obstacle to contend with.
The Slovaks – who lost 5-1 at Celtic Park in last season’s Champions League – went into the match as favourites but things unravelled for them here, with midfielder Rahim Ibrahim sent off for two bookings on the hour.
Amid wild scenes, the Slovak outfit’s manager Vladimir Weiss – father of Rangers star Vladimir, who also played in the match – was also sent off for protesting in the dying stages.
But things could even have been worse for Bratislava as more magic from Satpayev led to a disallowed ‘goal’ in the 96th minute, eventually ruled out for a tight offside call after a lengthy VAR intervention.
