CALUM MCFARLANE is set to join Liam Rosenior’s backroom staff at Chelsea after impressing the incoming Blues boss as caretaker.
McFarlane, 37, has been in charge of Chelsea for their last two games since the club axed Enzo Maresca on New Year’s Day.

Chelsea drew 1-1 at Manchester City in his first game before losing 2-1 to Fulham on Wednesday.
But he has done enough to convince Rosenior he should be part of his coaching staff instead of returning to the Under-21 set up.
Rosenior watched from the stands as Chelsea were beaten by the Cottagers after Marc Cucurella’s red card.
He was seen deep in conversation with Chelsea’s co-owner Behdad Eghbali and certainly will have taken a lot from the game.

‘FANTASTIC COACH’
Rosenior hailed for already transforming former Chelsea bomb squad member
And McFarlane will have a chance to continue his development as a coach after being asked to join Rosenior’s team.
McFarlane, who never played football at professional level, previously worked at the academies of Manchester City and Southampton.
He then left to join Chelsea as Under-21 boss last summer and also coached the Under-19s for their UEFA Youth League campaign.
More to follow.
