By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Cycling veterans are gearing up for the Chief’s Masters Birthday Race set for Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 8:00 am. This 48-mile challenge will see competitors racing from San Cas Plaza, starting at 8:00 am, pushing through Data Pro and Hattieville on the Philip Goldson Highway and the Boom Road, before making their return to the San Cas Plaza in what promises to be a battle of endurance and strategy.

Cyclists born in 1985 or earlier have the chance to compete in three categories: Category A (40-49 years), Category B (50-59 years), and Category C (60+ years). Each category carries its own prize pool, with the top finishers securing trophies and cash rewards—the biggest prize reaching $1,500 in Category A.
With Belize Bank, BTB, Digi, and Santiago Castillo among the event’s sponsors, the race is set to be a spectacle for both riders and fans.
The race will be live streamed by Ordonez Bike Shop.
