CHRIS EUBANK SR has REFUSED to pick a winner in his son’s rematch against Conor Benn.
The British boxing great threatened to boycott the second generation grudge match in April amid fears over the safety of both born rivals.
But on the night of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium showdown – Eubank Sr emotionally reunited with his son before watching his boy’s epic victory.
But ahead of Saturday’s rematch – live on DAZN PPV – Eubank Sr is remaining tight-lipped on how he believes the bout will play out.
Asked on SunSport’s No Glove Lost episode for a prediction, the 59-year-old legend put his fingers to his mouth and zipped it shut.
Eubank Sr still does not believe his eldest son – at 36 – should remain fighting at the 160lb middleweight limit – while also adhering to the 10lb rehydration clause.
He also argues Benn – a career welterweight – should be prevented from stepping up in size to face Eubank Jr.
Carl Froch and George Groves – who both sparred a young, hungry and novice Eubank Jr over ten years ago – joined our star-studded panel.
And they both give Benn, 29, the edge heading into the rematch.
Froch, who retired after knocking out Groves in 2014, said: “This fight is going to be very, very close. I think Conor’s gonna be better.

“I can see how Conor Benn wins his fight. I can see how he wins it but I can’t get past the size.
“Chris has got the size advantage. He’s the bigger man, I’ve sparred him, sparred 147 fighters, I’ve sparred 154 fighters. I don’t think they’re big enough, I don’t think they’re strong enough to cope with me.
“Eubank Jr could cope with me. I know he’s tough and strong. One thing he’s inherited from his dad is his toughness.
“I see the way he kept coming when Carl Thompson just unloaded on him. There’s no quitting him, he kept coming.
“The younger generation that’ve never seen Chris Eubank Sr fight, go and have a look at some of his fights because one thing his son’s inherited from him is that toughness so that’s going nowhere.
“I think Chris will be just fine. I don’t think you need to worry. You’re making a massive point that I kind of agree with, but we are where we are.
“Chris Eubank, size-wise is a slight favourite, even closer to slight favorite than the first time I just think he’s probably got that edge.
“But listen, on the first Froch on Fighting pre-fight prediction – best channel in the business – I’m probably gonna pick Conor Benn.
“I think the youngness and the freshness and what he learned from the first fight will be enough.”
Groves, who beat Eubank Jr in their 2018 title fight, said: “I think Conor Benn wins the rematch, I think there’s more for him to gain, avenge the loss, Eubank Jr got a lot sort of wrong in the first one and he tried to fight too many people up too, he took on too much.
“Maybe that’s different and going back with BoMac is a spanner in the works in many regards but maybe that win against Liam Smith was flattering because Liam Smith was sort of not fit.
“I can see how you’re thinking, ‘Eubank could go in there and mix it with me and I can’t comprehend how Conor Benn could do that, a tiny little welterweight?’
“But he went and did it with Eubank last time. They rocked it out. If we talk about real fights, it’s like, who gets out first and executes their game plan right?
“Who gets out and establishes their jab, controls the distance, gets their rhythm going, settles into the fight?
“And then what is most importantly, once you settle into the fight, is in that flow state where they’re not burning up energy, because neither guy really got settled before it ended up being just a dogfight, and then it was whoever could last longer.
“So there could be that element to it and maybe with BoMac, Eubank comes out, does what he needs to do, keeps his head back, long with a jab, creates the right distance, lands a few shots on Conor, stops him from bounding around.
“But if it doesn’t go that way, Conor catches him with the right hand, finds his distance. If you think about who wants it more, I think it’s Conor Benn this time.”
Eubank Sr was not the only family representative on the show – with his nephew Harlem also joining him.
And Harlem, 31, said: “I can’t see anything other than Chris Eubank Jr stoppage. He’s fully focused.
“I’ve seen how he trained, how he applied himself for the Liam Smith rematch.

“And again, it’s more of the same when Junior’s prepared for what’s in front of him.
“You see a completely different guy, and that’s, that’s the one I’m expecting to see this time round.”
