Heavy-hitter Christopher Hurlston delivered another impressive beatdown over the weekend to secure a technical knockout over veteran Georgian boxer Ramazi Gogichashvili.
Hurlston, known as the 345 Viking, prevailed through a tough first round, keeping his composure to came back in the second to pepper his opponent, leading to Gogichashvili’s corner mercifully throwing in the towel.
“The fight was a good fight,” Hurlston told the Compass. “The opponent came out really strong in the first round, throwing a lot of shots, strong shots … But we stuck to the game plan and kept that jab out and found the right hand … and got the stoppage.”
His victory, earned on Saturday, 23 Aug., at the Ebertbad in Oberhausen, Germany, improved Hurlston’s unblemished record to 3-0 – including two knockouts.

Buoyed by his early success, he remains focused on taking care of business in the ring, beginning this October for professional fight number four – one he hopes the judges won’t be needed for.
“Aiming for stoppage, or a knockout once again,” Hurlston said. “A huge thank you to my sponsors, Oasis Pool and Spa, and Elite Marble and Granite, because none of this would be possible without them.”
While no opponent has been confirmed, Hurlston is scheduled to fight on 25 Oct., at the LUFC Banqueting Suite, in Leeds.
