Concacaf’s governance agenda is taking shape in Saint Lucia, where football administrators and coaches are being trained this weekend in financial planning, ethics and team management as part of a regional drive to strengthen accountability across the game.
Two workshops are being delivered on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14, at the La Clery offices of the Saint Lucia Football Association.
The primary objective is to share best practices across a wide range of team-related topics, including, but not limited to, financial planning, national team travel, roles and responsibilities, pre-event management, game-day management, post-event management, safeguarding, and ethics and integrity.
Facilitators from the regional governing body include Jamaicans Howard McIntosh and Horace Reid, Concacaf Director of Member Services and Concacaf Director of Caribbean Member Associations Affairs, respectively, as well as Caribbean Football Union General Secretary Camara David of Trinidad and Tobago.

The decision to hold the workshops arose from a Concacaf presidents’ meeting in December 2025, when the hemispheric organisation’s president Victor Montagliani announced measures intended to improve financial governance and team management across the confederation.
The first workshop on Friday was attended by the SLFA technical director, national team administrators, team equipment officers, and the head coaches of all the national teams.
The second, on Saturday, targets the 19 team administrators from the Saint Lucia Semi-Professional Football League.
