New Hampshire State Police say they are investigating a shooting at a home in Sanbornton that left one person injured.
Shortly before noon on Monday, state police and the Sanbornton Police Department responded to Stage Road “at the request of Sanbornton Police Chief Steve Hankard for a shooting investigation,” according to police.
One person had been shot multiple times. The person was taken to Franklin Hospital and then flown by a medical helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment. The victim is expected to survive. Authorities are withholding their name pending the ongoing investigation.
“At this time, all parties believed to be involved have been identified and are cooperating. There is no known threat or danger to the community in connection with this incident,” state police said in a press release.
The 2-bedroom bungalow built in 1939 is owned by a trust.
Authorities did not release the name of the individual who was shot and did not announce any arrests.
