WHERE Cyriel Dessers will be playing his football in the immediate to long term has been one of the hot topics of this summer.
The Rangers striker has his detractors but he’s passed the 50-mark in terms of his goal return over two seasons for the Gers.
And that strike rate has brought him to the attention of AEK Athens, with the Greeks seeing an offer for the player rebuffed earlier in the summer.
It remains to be seen whether that is the end of the story but as he mingled with fans after a fine showing in Tuesday night’s clash with VIktoria Plzen, Dessers certainly didn’t seem like a man in a hurry to go anywhere.
In a video shared on the True Blue Talk Tik Tok account, Dessers is asked: “Are you staying or going?”
He replies: “Looks like I’m staying, eh?”

“I’m here today.”
The fan replies: “Honestly? I’m over the moon. Good game today mate.”
The Ibrox men currently have Dessers, Danilo and Hamza Igamane vying for what seems likely to be one starting spot up front – although the future of the little Moroccan is also a source of intrigue among interest from Lille.
Israeli frontman Dor Turgeman has been mentioned as a potential replacement in the event of any outgoings, although the Gers may have to act fast to secure his signature after the Maccabi Tel Aviv star was subject to an official bid from an MLS side.
We told you a week ago how the race was heating up for the in-demand frontman.
And now according to SkySport reporter Luca Bendoni, New England Revolution have made a formal offer to Maccabi Tel Aviv for the 21-year-old frontman.
Bendoni writes on social media: “New England Revolution have submitted an offer to Maccabi Tel Aviv for 21yo forward Dor Turgeman.
“His profile is also being considered by multiple European clubs including Rangers, in case of outgoings.”
The 21-year old has been on Rangers’ radar all summer after a superb 2024/25 campaign.
