Da Project rebounded from a game one loss to level their Division 1 Playoffs series against powerhouse Potters Steelers, while Navigators gave themselves a fighting chance with victory in game-two of their best of three Division 2 series when action in the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) competition resumed at JSC on Thursday night.
Da Project were led by veteran and former national player Bryan ‘Hollywood’ Matthew, who showed flashes of his youthful days, sinking a game-high 36 points on 13 of 18 shooting, hitting eight of 13 from beyond the arc to lead his team to a 95-82 triumph. Matthew also grabbed nine rebounds in his stellar performance.
Terry Dawkins contributed to the winning effort with 18 points, five rebounds and six assists with T-Shawn Lewis and Donte Trimingham adding 13 and 10 points each. Lewis also pulled 13 rebounds. Nyique Watkins contributed with 10 points, five rebounds and five assists off the bench.

In a losing effort for Steelers, Devorn Benjamin led with 23 points while Raniq Nicholls added 19 points, six rebounds and eight assists to the effort. There were contributions of 15, 11 and 10 points from Kareem Edwards, Keroi Lee and Cohen DeSouza respectively.
Meanwhile, Navigators enjoyed an 85-71 triumph over Spanish Heat 2 to level their Division 2 series 1-1 and force a decisive game three also on Thursday.
Ariel Quallis had a dominant showing for Navigators, sinking a game-high of 22 points while grabbing 14 rebounds. Quallis also ended the game with six assists. There was a contribution of 17 points from Ricky Willock coming off the bench.
In a losing effort, Charlie Daniel led the scoring for Spanish Heat 2 with 18 points and 16 rebounds. Wester Baptiste sank 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Jesus Emmanuel added 13 points and five rebounds off the bench.
