DANNY ROHL insisted his first win as Ibrox boss was just one small step on the road to recovery.
Rangers picked up their first home league win of the season by seeing off Kilmarnock 3-1.

It was the perfect response for Rohl, who suffered a painful 3-0 defeat to Brann in the Europa League in his debut game in charge on Thursday.
But despite seeing his side pick up a welcome three points, the German was quick to point out it was just a baby step towards better times.
Rohl said: “I must say I really enjoyed our performance.
“It was not everything perfect, but it was a good step forward.

“The first win is always important for the group to create confidence.
“Thursday was a big disappointment, not just from the tactical part but how we played with intensity.
“Today was much better. It is a small step in our journey, we know where we want to go.
“For me it was important to see a team on the pitch who was working hard, ready to go.”
The mood in Ibrox was markedly lighter than in the dark days of Russell Martin‘s tenure.
Rohl believes the Light Blues can power forward with the crowd behind his Bears, highlighting wins can quickly erase the pain of the past few months.
Rohl said: “The last weeks and months have not always been easy.
“But this is our goal. We want to win games, we want to play attractive football and we want to do it together with our fans.
“If you bring everyone closer and closer and we are really strong together, then I think we can really be successful in the future here.
“Today was a small step, not more, because the journey is still long.
“I said before the game that this is the good thing in football: it’s a short memory.
“Every win goes very straight in one direction, and I think this is what you have to understand.
“If you are ill you cannot change it so quickly sometimes.
“But in football with one win, or with one week, you can turn a lot of things in the right direction.
“I think this should be our mindset, step by step.
“Today was a first step and on Wednesday we have to take the next step.”
Rohl was full of praise for strike duo Danilo and Youssef Chermiti, with the latter blasting in his first Gers goal since joining from Everton.
The 36-year-old also backed Jack Butland to quickly respond to his howler that allowed Killie to level in the first half.
Rohl said: “Danilo scored after not playing so much in the past.
“And this was a good step for Chermiti as well.
“We saw today what is possible. He still has to improve some things, but for me it’s important to improve the self-confidence of the players.
“I think Jack is not just a great goalkeeper, he is also a leader in the group.
