DANNY ROHL has flown into Glasgow and headed straight for the Rangers training ground.
The Light Blues’ laborious search for a new manager is finally nearing its endgame.
Rangers sacked Russell Martin two weeks ago and the process to replace him has been far from straightforward.
Led by American supremos Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe, the search for a new Gers boss has taken some wild twists and turns.
Steven Gerrard looked set for a remarkable return to the Ibrox dugout before dramatically withdrawing from the process altogether a week ago on Saturday.
Rohl then became the favourite before himself pulling out of the race to replace Martin last week.
That was after former Rangers defender Kevin Muscat emerged as the leading contender, as exclusively revealed by SunSport.
But those talks dramatically stalled over the weekend and the deal to appoint Muscat sensationally collapsed.
We then told you last night how Rohl had dramatically RETURNED to the fold – and he’s now the man Rangers will be appointing as their new head coach.
The 36-year old left Sheffield Wednesday in the summer after two years in the role.
He’d been in the frame for the gig prior to Martin’s appointment but will now land the job.
Things have moved quickly with Rohl pictured arriving in Glasgow this afternoon.
SunSport can reveal the German has headed straight for the Rangers Training Centre to put the finishing touches to his agreement.
Gers chief executive Patrick Stewart has also been pictured leaving Ibrox and is likely bound for the training ground himself to get the deal to appoint Rohl over the line.
