KRIS BOYD has doubled down on his warning to Rangers boss Danny Rohl over his post-match celebrations.
And he insists scenes like those at Dens Park would NEVER have happened under Walter Smith.
New Rangers head coach Rohl made it three league wins from three at the weekend.
Rangers beat Dundee 3-0 in the north east thanks to goals from Nico Raskin, Mikey Moore and Djeidi Gassama.
Gers fans have quickly taken to their new manager and loudly chanted his name all afternoon long at Dens Park.
And after the game, Rohl showed his appreciation for the travelling supporters.

The 36-year old went over to applaud the fans and that applause soon turned into Rohl leading the supporters in some post-match celebration.
On TV, Boyd stated he felt those scenes were too much, too soon and said Rohl should just have headed down the tunnel.
On this week’s episode of Go Ballistic on the Scottish Sun Sport YouTube channel, Boyd reiterated that point of view.
And he insisted that the man he won two league titles with at Rangers – Walter Smith – would NEVER have done it himself.
Boyd told Go Ballistic: “I might be sitting here becoming a dinosaur but I would always ask the question – maybe because I played under him – the thing I would always say as a Rangers manager, would Walter Smith have done that?
“The answer would be no.
“I know it’s changed, I get the fact teams go around pitches and they want to applaud you off and things like that but for me, get up the tunnel, get on to the next week and see where it takes you.
“It’s been a difficult period for Rangers, I think Rnagers fans – and rightly so – want to get a manager that they can get behind, they can trust to make decisions and get their team back winning again and I totally get it.
“But for me, as I said, I might be old school on this, but as a manager – even the players – just get yourself up the tunnel.
“Everybody says to at least show respect to the fans and appreciate what they do for you and everything.
“But the biggest respect and appreciation you can show to them is putting in the effort every single Saturday to win games of football so they can be home and proud of their team.
“You do that and they’ll be happy. You don’t need to be up clapping, you don’t need to be up celebrating, you don’t need to go round the pitch.
“We’ve seen it before – when you win games of football, everything’s fine.
“When you don’t and you’re still going round the pitch, it’s an empty stadium, there’s a few people hurling abuse at you. You can’t have it both ways, that’s my point.
“Just get yourself up the tunnel.”
SunSport’s Head of Sport Roger Hannah challenged Boyd’s point of view and insisted that he has no problem with Rohl wanting to celebrate in front of the fans.
But Boyd insisted that his own point of view would not be changed and warned the Gers boss that if things turn for the worse in terms of results, the the supporters might not be feeling quite as receptive.
He continued: “For me, it’s just a no go. It does my head in.
“I’ll always compare every single Rangers manager to Walter Smith and it’s probably wrong of me to compare them because there will never be another Walter Smith.
“But the question I would always say or ask myself would be would Walter do that?
“If the answer is no then I have to say it’s the wrong thing to do.”
He added: “Russell Martin went round the pitch as well and tried to clap the fans and this is my point – when you win games of football, it’s totally fine.

“When you don’t, then all of a sudden the pressure comes on, you’re still trying to do it and you’re getting criticised.
“I just feel as if it’s the wrong thing to do.”
