DARTS fans were left confused after a star walked off the stage at the WEDF World Darts Championship midway through a leg.
Dalibor Smolik was facing Marko Kantele at Lakeside as he suddenly vanished from the oche in the third set.

The Czech thrower had just 16 left to check out but walked off as Kantele was throwing at the board.
The Finnish ace left himself 50 to win the leg but, after completing his throw, realised it was just him on the stage.
Confused fans inside Lakeside had watched Smolik bizarrely exit the arena for a break.
He eventually returned a minute later to try to close our the leg.

Smolik missed his double eight as he hit a single, but made no mistake on the double four.
Fans found the moment hilarious as they reacted on social media.
One posted: “Where’s he gone haha?”
A second commented: “Comedy darts, the whole thing is a joke.”

Smolik did not need another break during the clash as he wrapped up the win.
He ran out a 3-1 winner over Kantele and sealed the win with a checkout of 127.

Luke Littler will be heading to Ally Pally for the tournament in an attempt to defend his title.
Should he succeed, he would become the first player to go back-to-back since Gary Anderson a decade ago.
