DONALD TRUMP may be an avid golfer, but he was likely left wincing after watching his granddaughter’s debut at the LPGA Tour.
Kai Trump, 18, made her controversial debut at the £2.5million Annika event on Thursday following her sponsor’s invitation.

However, the US president’s granddaughter had nothing short of a nightmare as she suffered a first round exit.
The amateur golfer hit two double bogeys and nine bogeys in her opening round in Florida.
That left her on a score of 13-over-par 83, rock bottom of the leaderboard and four shots worse than her next closest rival to highlight the gulf between elite junior golf and the world’s top professionals.
Trump received warm applause when she started her course on the back nine, but failed to overcome a jittery start.

By her own admission, nerves got the better of her on the day at Pelican Golf Club.
She said: “I was definitely more nervous than I expected, but I thought I hit a lot of great shots out there. I hit a lot of good shots just to the wrong spots.
“And being my first LPGA event, now I kind of know how it goes. I felt a little out of order in the beginning but I kind of got it going afterwards. I learned a lot.
“It was amazing. I had a great time out there. I didn’t play the way I wanted obviously, but for my first event ever I think I played pretty good.

Trump, who has more than six million followers on social media, continued: “The first tee I was a little bit more nervous than the RNC.
“I thought I went in the bunker but I hit way past the bunker. I think [it was] the adrenaline the whole time, I was hitting it way farther than I normally do, especially around some of the par-threes.
“Compared to the RNC, I would say the first two shots were more nerve-wracking.”
South Korea‘s Haeran Ryu emerged as the first-round leader, shooting six under to leave Trump 19 off the lead.
