DUNDEE UNITED and Hibs both have tricky Conference League ties to get past.
If they do, they now know what lies ahead.
Dundee United face Austrian giants Rapid Vienna in their third qualifying round tie.
Hibs, meanwhile, face a rather daunting showdown too with Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade.
Both of those ties get underway with the first legs this week, followed by the return matches next week.
It certainly won’t be easy for either United or Hibs to make it through, but if they do, they know what’s up next.
That’s because the Conference League play-off round has been made.
That’s the final round before the competition proper – the league phase.
David Gray’s Hibs were first out of the hat, in terms of the two Scottish clubs.
The Hibees and Partizan were paired with AEK Larnaca of Cyprus or Legia Warsaw of Poland.
Those sides are battling it out in a Europa League
Dundee United followed soon after.
Jim Goodwin’s Terrors will face either AIK Stockholm of Sweden or Hungarian side ETO FC Gyor.
The third qualifying round ties will take place over the next two Thursdays.
Should either side progress to the play-off round, those games will be played on the following two Thursdays after that.
The play-off ties will happen on August 21 and August 28.
Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen were also drawn their potential play-off match-ups.
