DUNDEE UNITED’S move for Bosnian striker Said Hamulic has hit the skids.
Tannadice boss Jim Goodwin had targeted the Toulouse forward for a summer move.
Hamulic was due to arrive in Scotland on Monday but it’s understood the 24-year-old only got as far as London before a snag emerged in the deal.
The six-times-capped Bosnian international has now returned to France, with the switch in doubt.
Goodwin was eager to bring the hitman on board, with Toulouse willing to let him out on loan again despite spending £1.7m to buy him from Polish club Stal Mielec two summers ago.
Hamulic hasn’t settled in French football so has had previous spells out at Vitesse Arnhem, Lokomotiv Moscow and Wizdew Lodz since.

United remain in talks with Toulouse in a bid to rekindle the deal, but work needs to be done to get it back on.
The Tannadice side are also waiting on the work permit process before finalising their move for Ukrainian keeper Yevhen Kucherenko.
Meanwhile, Sam Dalby has hailed the Tannadice club after turning down a permanent deal in favour of signing a four-year deal at Bolton.
He said: “I had a good time in Scotland, played a lot of games, and that is something I needed to go and do. Thankfully it got me here now.
“You have just got to look out there, really, 20,000 fans cheering you on every week, such a big club with massive ambition.
“The whole club is aligned with what they want to do. They want to get into the Championship as soon as possible, and that’s something I really want to be a part of.
“I came in a couple of weeks ago and I realised what the ambitions were, how much they wanted me to come in and fit into the team, to be honest, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to come here.
“I’m under no illusion on what the club is trying to do next season, trying to get promoted, and I am looking forward to going out there and trying to do my best.
“I’ll be bringing goals to the team, mainly, bringing my team-mates into play, and I’ll be going out there to work as hard as possible every week. Hopefully that will be enough.”
