Action continued in the Parham Super League (PSL) on Sunday with a convincing victory for East Furlong, their first in two matches, while Potters and Willikies played to an entertaining draw in the night’s feature contest at the Parham playing field.
Playing the night’s opening fixture, East Furlong made light work of Swetes FC to win the lopsided contest 4-1. National striker, Shalon Knight led the scoring for East Furlong with a double, netting on either sides of the half. Zaphique Andrew and Joylan Sinclair had both also struck once for the winners in the opening half of the contest. Vashorn James scored the lone goal for Swetes when he struck in the second half.
East Furlong played a portion of the second half with only 10 men after Sadique Adams was red-carded.
The win moves East Furlong to four points from two matches in Group B while Swetes are yet to pick up a point after two showings.
In the feature showdown, Potters and Willikes played to an entertaining 3-3 draw. Javorn Benjamin led the way for Potters with a double in the second half with national striker Keon Green, scoring the other goal for Potters. For Willikies, Nadre Thomas struck twice while Dejazmatch Christian scored the other goal.
The draw means that both teams picked up their first point in Group A, both after having played two matches.
