ANGE POSTECOGLOU was brutally sacked by Tottenham in June despite winning the Europa League.
But the ex-Celtic boss’ stock appears to be high with TWO massive European clubs considering him as their next manager.
Postecoglou, 60, was a relative unknown to many when he was appointed Hoops manager back in June 2021.
Many fans weren’t best pleased as his appointment, which came after Celtic‘s long pursuit of Eddie Howe came to nothing.
But that discontent quickly turned to delight for the Hoops fanbase as Postecoglou masterminded a stunning turnaround in fortunes.
Celtic had missed out on a 10th league title in a row the season before the Australian’s arrival, with Rangers going the entire Scottish Premiership season unbeaten and winning the championship for the first time in a decade.
The Celts finished 25 points behind Steven Gerrard’s dominant side.
After a tough start to life as Hoops boss, Postecoglou led his side to a 31-game unbeaten run in the league from September to May as Celtic regained the title.
He also won the League Cup before going one better with a treble in his second campaign in charge.
Postecoglou left Celtic fans gutted when he quit just just days after the 2023 Scottish Cup Final to take over at Tottenham.
An inconsistent two-year spell would follow, with his second and final campaign in charge epitomising that incosistency.
Spurs’ league form was dire and they ended up finishing 17th in the Premier League table – their worst-ever finish in the competition and with their worst-ever Premier League points tally.
Conversely, Postecoglou followed through on a statement that he always delivered a trophy in his second season.
He led Spurs to the Europa League title, their first silverware triumph in 17 years.
That triumph also secured Tottenham a place in the Champions League despite their horror league form.
But just a couple of weeks after a victory parade in North London, Postecoglou was sacked.
He was linked to the Nottingham Forest job last month amid uncertainty over Nuno Espirito Santo’s future.
But as it stands, the Portuguese boss remains in place.
Now, Postecoglou is emerging as a candidate for not one but TWO massive European jobs.
Somewhat bizarrely, both vacancies have come around due to the exits of a former Manchester United boss.
Jose Mourinho’s turbulent year in charge of Fenerbahce was brought to an end last week after the Turkish giants’ failure to qualify for the Champions League.
And in an even more dramatic decision, Erik ten Hag was sensationally fired by Bayer Leverkusen after just THREE competitive matches in charge.
Now, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Postecoglou is emerging as an option for both the Fenerbahce and Leverkusen jobs.
He claims that the former Celtic boss has been ‘discussed’ by both clubs as they ponder their next moves.

Prior to joining Celtic, Postecoglou’s only experience of coaching in Europe was a brief spell in charge of third tier Greek outfit Panachaiki in 2008.
He’s also managed the Australia national team, A-League clubs Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory and Japanese club Yokohama F. Marinos, with whom he won the J.League title.
