FORMER Celtic star Peter Grant has called for the SFA to look into comments made by Derek McInnes about the Hoops which he slammed as “ridiculous”.
The Hearts boss said he was “shocked” to see Auston Trusty’s yellow upgraded to red after VAR intervention as “Celtic don’t get red cards domestically.”

It was Celtic’s first red card in 84 domestic games going back to March 2024 when Yang was dismissed at Tynecastle.
Celtic have said they will appeal the decision.
Speaking on Go Radio’s Football Show, former Hoops defender Grant slammed the comments.
“I thought Derek’s comments about Celtic not getting red cards were really poor.

“I think that’s ridiculous. The SFA should look at that because that’s trying to put pressure on referees for me.
“I’d like Derek to say where Celtic should have got a red card anytime this season.
“If he can point out incidents that he thinks Celtic have got away with fine, no problem.
“But I thought it was a ridiculous comment and it’s nothing to do with that game – it’s rubbish that.”

Celtic were leading 2-1 at Tynecastle thanks to goals from Benjamin Nygren and Yang before the Trusty controversy.
The American defender was deemed to be last man by VAR official John Beaton when he brought down Kabore and asked ref Steven McLean, who had given a yellow, to go to the monitor.
Grant believes the decision to upgrade the yellow card to red was “100 per cent wrong”.
Asked if he was accusing Beaton of bias, he said: “I think it’s a ridiculous decision whether it’s bias, cheating, whatever way you look at it, he got it wrong.
“It doesn’t matter what he done, he got it 100 per cent wrong. I don’t care what anybody says.”
On the controversy, Grant added: “It’s really poor defending by Trusty.
“He got caught a few times.
“But I thought he got out of jail I must admit.
“Dane Murray’s done brilliant as a young centre-back coming on cold to the game because he is getting back round.
“Derek McInnes says the player’s going to get a shot in, but I can guarantee you Dane Murray would have got across the pitch.
“Dane Murray is very quick and Kabore is one of those players that needs to take three or four touches before he can get any shot away.
“He’s proven that throughout his career, look at his goalscoring record.”
