TWO experienced German managers have emerged as contenders for the vacant Aberdeen job, it’s being reported.
Recently-appointed sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel has been using his connections in Germany in the search for Jimmy Thelin’s replacement.

The Swede was sacked at the weekend as the Dons slumped to a run of five games without a win.
Former Celtic captain and one-time player coach at Pittodrie, Scott Brown – currently manager at Ayr United – is one of the main names in the frame.
Ex-Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo has declared interest in the job too but isn’t believed to be near the top of Pfannenstiel’s wish list.
St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson is another leading candidate.

The newest name in the mix is Uwe Rosler, the Manchester City cult hero, according to the Daily Record.
Rosler played 176 times for City between 1994 ad 1998 and has managerial experience in Norway, Sweden and Denmark as well as England and his homeland of Germany.
The 57-year-old is in a job at the moment with VfL Bochum in the German second division.
Another German joining Rosler on Pfannenstiel’s shortlist is Markus Gisdol.
Gisdol, 56, is out of work at present after a short and unsuccessful stint with Kayserisspor in Turkey.
Prior to that he managed the likes of Hoffenheim, Hamburg and Cologne.
Peter Leven took charge of the team for the midweek clash against Rangers at Ibrox and, barring a swift appointment in the next 24 hours, will be in the dugout again this coming weekend.
The Light Blues will be their opponents again, but this time at Pittodrie.
Aberdeen are currently eighth in the Scottish Premiership table, level on points with Dundee United in seventh.
The only man who has directly spoke about the job so far is Robinson but he has tried to play down the speculation.
He said: “I can’t control what people say, I can’t control it.
“It’s nice that people think you should be linked with that there but I can’t control that kind of narrative.
“We’ve done well. We’ve done well at Motherwell as well but I can’t control what people think.
“I can only concentrate on what is right in front of me and that’s St Mirren.
“We’ve got a big games coming up and certainly my full focus is on that.”
Motherwell‘s Jens Berthel Askou and Falkirk‘s John McGlynn have also appeared on bookies’ lists.
