FORMER Rangers boss Philippe Clement is being linked with a shock return to management in France.
Clement has been out of a job since being sacked by the Gers in February this year after a run of poor results.

But according to reports in France, he’s now on the radar of Rennes after they dropped more points in their 2-2 draw with Auxerre on Sunday.
Four consecutive draws have left the club ninth in Ligue 1 with 11 points and current manager Habib Beye is under severe pressure to turn it around.
And Foot Mercato says the club are already drawing up a list of potential candidates to replace him with Clement’s name included.
The 51-year-old has been linked with other posts recently, including in Germany with Gladbach, where the Bundesliga basement boys have no wins in their first seven games under interim coach Eugen Polanski.

The Belgian was also reportedly in the running for the Pogon Szczecin job before Thomas Thomasberg was appointed on a three-year deal at the end of September after being sacked by Midtjylland.
And other reports say he turned down the Spartak Moscow job in Russia.
He recently said in an interview with Belgian outlet GVA he was ready to get back into management.
The former Monaco boss said: “Something will come up. I’m sure of that. I also want to keep working abroad.
“New adventures, new cultures, a certain way of working… I like Belgium, you know, but I was really captivated in Monaco and Glasgow, and I want to keep gaining experience.
“Not even as a national coach or anything like that. I still want to be on that pitch, working with the players every day. I still love doing that.”
Sacha Tavolieri said on X “As explained by @Santi_J_FM, Philippe Clement is a name on the short-list of Stade Rennais if the Breton leaders were to part ways with Habib Beye.
“A list that also includes the profile of… Thiago Motta.”
