Bermuda and an airline based on the island were featured in a recent episode of long-running US animated sitcom Family Guy.
In the show, broadcast on Fox, characters visit St David’s Lighthouse, travel by BermudAir and swim with dolphins.
Titled The Fat Lotus, the episode that aired on Sunday also references the Bermuda Triangle.
Other characters in the episode climb a volcano — a nod to the extinct feature that forms the island’s foundations.
Steve Callaghan wrote the episode, which parodied the HBO television show The White Lotus.
Family Guy is primarily set in Rhode Island, to where BermudAir is scheduled to launch a direct service tomorrow.
