NICO RASKIN will make his return to the pitch tonight – but not in Scotland.
The Rangers midfielder has been given the nod to start for Belgium in their World Cup qualifying opener against Kazakhstan – just over a week after he was dramatically axed by Russell Martin.
Raskin, 24, was dropped by the Rangers manager for the Champions League play-off humbling in Bruges last month then was subsequently bombed out for the Old Firm showdown against Celtic on August 31.
It was a decision that was backed by senior players in the Rangers dressing room, but fans didn’t feel the same way.
Fans were heard chanting the player’s name during the 0-0 draw with Celtic and countless supporters expressed their dismay at Martin’s decision on social media in the aftermath.
Raskin then looked set to leave the club on deadline day with a number of clubs circling amid the fallout, but we told how he was set to remain at the club beyond deadline day.

It’s understood the midfielder will hold clear the air talks with Martin when he returns from international duty.
But in the meantime Raskin has two big games to attend to with his national team as their World Cup qualifying campaign gets underway tonight.
Up first is Kazakhstan and the Gers ace has been named in Rudi Garcia’s starting XI.
He starts alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Youri Tielemans in a stacked Belgium midfield.
Rangers shared the news of his involvement on social media along with a post confirming Oliver Antman is starting for Finland against Poland as well.
But although fans were excited to see Raskin back in action, they all had the same complaint after seeing him in the team.
One fan wrote: “Not good enough to start an Old Firm though?”
Another said: “Can play for Belgium but not the Rangers. Doesn’t make sense.”
A third commented: “Good enough to start for Belgium but not Rangers 😂😂.”
A fourth said: “Playing for Belgium with De Bruyne but can’t play at Rangers with likes of Rothwell and Cameron hahah.”
